Jem Taylor

Director

Jem came to live in the village in 1996 when he moved from Glasgow to work on creating the new University of the Highlands and Islands, where he still works in IT services. His three children have grown up through Tarradale Primary and now Dingwall Academy, while he has become involved in the Community Council, the Community Association, and now the Hall and Facilities Company.

Frances MacGruer

Frances is well known in Muir of Ord for her outstanding contribution to supporting the community over the years. She joined the Development Trust as a Director in 2012 and is the Chair of the Gala Group. She was also Chair of the Community Council. She continues to serve as a community councillor. She is also involved with Muir Rovers and can be seen helping out at church and other community events.

Alan Mackinnon

Caretaker

Alan is in charge of the general maintenance of both The Muir Hub and the Village Hall, and The Pavillion making sure everything is up to scratch and setting up our rooms for bookings. We couldn’t be without him keeping an eye on and organising the facilities as well as maintaining the conditions of the buildings.
